In October you can come tour Terry's Berries with your class and celebrate the bounty of Fall harvest season! While exploring the farm, children experience firsthand the origins of local, organic food as they dig in the soil, harvest, and taste fresh picked fruits and vegetables. On our tours, we reinforce the important connections between healthy food, healthy kids, and a healthy environment; and our activities support community and teamwork.
Tour guides will engage groups of 15-20 students (and their families) in a variety of farm activities over the course of an hour that may include the following (depending on weather and availability):
- Harvesting potatoes and carrots--Dig in the soil and find many edible surprises!
- Picking apples--Nothing surpasses a fresh picked apple.
- Pick a pumpkin--Select from our mini-pumpkin patch.
- Visit and feed our chickens and ducks--Never a dull moment with these social animals.
- Play--Run in our corn field, crawl in the sunflower house, hide in the bean teepee!
All activities are geared toward the age of the students, and our staff and volunteers welcome any questions and further discussion.
Call the Farm Store in early September to Reserve a Spot! Don’t miss the opportunity to share with the students the most exciting time of the harvest season! Tours begin October 1st and continue until Halloween.
Please Download tour information and share it with students and parents. Thank you; we look forward to seeing you at the farm!
